"If you take a sentence like 'the cat sat on the mat' and take all the consonants out, that's what I hear," he explains. TUALATIN, Ore. -- A motorcycle officer was hit by a vehicle on Southwest Sagert Street on Wednesday afternoon, police said. The officer was struck by a vehicle at the corner of Southwest Sagert Street and 93rd Avenue a little after 3:15 p.m., police said.

WICHITA, Kan. -- Airplane maker Boeing Co. said it plans to cut about 800 positions at a facility in Wichita, Kan., next year. The company said the reductions are a result of some programs ending and a delay in a U.S. Air Force tanker replacement program.
