Cymbalta(R) Significantly Reduced Osteoarthritis Knee Pain In New Study (Medical News Today)

In a new study, Cymbalta (duloxetine HCl) 60-120 mg, taken once daily, reduced pain severity significantly, compared with placebo, in patients with osteoarthritis pain of the knee. Data from the 13-week randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial(1) were presented at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Pain Medicine (AAPM) in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Orexo and the Chinese pharmaceutical company NovaMed Pharmaceuticals have signed an exclusive licensing and distribution agreement that grants NovaMed rights to seek approval for Abstral, Orexo's product for treatment of breakthrough cancer pain, in the People's Republic of China, and if granted, to market and sell the product in that market.

Yvette Klingman is not homeless, but she has felt that way since going to an American Red Cross shelter after her apartment lost power on Tuesday. 'It was too cold in there. This is everything I've had on since the storm — three shirts, two pants, then I had the robe and blankets,' she said. 'I just couldn't take it anymore. I had to get out of there.'
